The Piece
This serving board is perfect for a little lunchtime indulgence. Just right for a sandwich and something on the side or a spread of tapas (tapases, tapi?). It has wonderful character, a natural, waney edge and features our, oh so useful, corner handle.
All of our chopping/serving boards are sold without any oil or wax finish and are sanded to a fine finish making them as hygienic as possible. If you want to know more about how wooden chopping boards are so much better than any other material in terms of practicality and hygiene have a little shufty here.
To help you maintain your chopping board it comes with two drying rests and a set of care instructions.
The Wood
European Sycamore (Acer Pseudoplatanus) is perfect for chopping boards close grained, anti-bacterial and non-tainting which is why it was used for dairy tools in days of yore. All that and the most amazing figure, which is why Stradivarius used it for his fiddles. These are from a pair of the first trees we milled during a long hot week in a pub garden (what I have to endure).
