Terms & Conditions

Our T’s & C’s vary depending upon whether the item you are purchasing is Custom and Bespoke, Made to Order or Off the Shelf.

Custom & Bespoke

  1. If we have provided an individual quote for your item then it falls within our ‘custom and bespoke’ terms and conditions.
  2. Our quote remains valid for thirty days. The Estimated Build Time starts once we receive written acceptance of the quote and receipt of the required deposit (generally 50% of the total cost excluding delivery). As we will allocate or purchase materials as soon as we receive your order, this deposit is not refundable.
  3. We try our utmost to better the Estimated Build Time. However, this is not completely within our control. We will keep you fully informed of any delay. If you have a specific deadline, please inform us when requesting a quotation and we will advise whether we can guarantee to meet it. Delays to the Estimated Build Time will not be considered as grounds for compensation.
  4. Our quote will include, either in writing or as part of our drawings, ‘key features’ which form part of the specification for the work. Please ensure that you check that these include any feature that you consider essential. Wood, especially the type we work with, is a highly variable product and although we may intend a design to come out a particular way, the peculiarities of this natural product mean that the design may change during the build process (often for the better). Acceptance of our quote indicates that you agree with these being the ‘key features’.
  5. Upon completion, we will provide an invoice for the outstanding cost including delivery. You are very welcome at this point to visit the workshop to inspect your piece(s) or to request additional photos to satisfy yourself that the piece meets the ‘key features’ in our quotation.
  6. Delivery will be arranged for a mutually convenient date once full payment of this invoice has been received. In the event of having to re-schedule delivery we reserve the right to make a further delivery charge.
  7. Please do not accept any delivery that appears to have been damaged without signing for it as such. Should your piece be damaged, please advise us immediately. We cannot accept the return of goods that have been custom made unless they are defective. not fit for purpose or fail to meet the ‘key features’ set out in our quote.

Made to Order

  1. The ‘Estimated Build Time’ commences once we have received your order, payment and any design information we require.
  2. We try our utmost to better the Estimated Build Time. However, this is not completely within our control. We will keep you fully informed of any delay. If you have a specific deadline, please inform us prior to ordering and we will advise whether we can guarantee to meet it. Delays to the Estimated Build Time will not be considered as grounds for compensation.
  3. The materials that we use, e.g. urban sourced and reclaimed timber are highly variable in nature. Consequently, there is considerable aesthetic variation from one item to another. For ‘made to order’ items we cannot consider these variations as reasons to return the item. However, please be assured that we take great pride in our products and strive to make them as beautiful as possible.
  4. We cannot accept the return of goods that have been custom made unless they are defective or are not fit for purpose. If you wish to return an item, please contact us as soon as possible to discuss the problem. We will arrange collection of any faulty items at our expense, but the customer is responsible for repacking them such that they are received at our workshop undamaged.

Off the Shelf

  1. You may return ‘Off the Shelf’ items within 14 days of receipt for a full refund of the purchase price (not including delivery) provided that they are undamaged upon receipt at our workshop. Returning these items is the responsibility and at the cost of the purchaser. Please advise us in advance if you are returning an item.
