The Piece

This piece of Oak has it all: colour, grain pattern, scars from flora, fauna and mycelium.  It bears them with pride and dignity and they look amazing.  It has been seasoned for around four years, then kiln dried and simply levelled and finished with a natural hard wax.  It doesn’t need any more help to look wonderful.

It would make a fabulous low table in front of a sofa, occasional table or even something taller so I am leaving it up to you. Just let us know what height you would like and I’ll do the rest.  The ‘with a frame’ price would be for a simple H Frame in a complementary wood but if you would like something more elaborate just get in touch and we can work on a design together.

The Wood

The Oak tree that provided this table top grew in Beaconsfield in Buckinghamshire and was felled to make way for a house extension.  It had lead a long life before the houses around it were built.  The owners commissioned us to make furniture with a considerable amount of the timber and donated the remainder to support our mission to reduce timber waste and plant more trees.

The Size

It’s and odd shape and a bit difficult measure but around 840mm long x 850 wide x 50mm thick.

Delivery

The price includes mainland UK delivery. If you are lucky enough to live somewhere more remote, ask us for a quote.  If you go for a frame, the table will come fully assembled.
